Yali In Gangaikonda Cholapuram Postcard

I have recently visited Gangaikonda Cholapuram, one of the most ancient and renowned Temple in Tamilnadu which is also a UNESCO Heritage site. I’ll be putting up a blog post real soon about it. Before that, I felt like making a postcard with the illustration of one of the cutest Yali I saw there. This lion-faced sculpture is situated inside the temple premises on the right side. Though its beauty has been vandalized by the tourists who thoughtlessly scribbled their names on it. It still holds on to quite a lot of detail in its face and toes.

This postcard is a product of 2 days’ work and is illustrated in Adobe Illustrator.

Don’t forget to see other illustrations on the Designs & Illustration page before you go! And make sure to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Thank you!
