5 Must Watch YouTube Talk Show Channels Hosted By South Korean Celebrities – Review

Youtube is one such platform where I rarely drop by. I will open it only on those days when there is no Kdramas to watch, no mood to read book, have nothing to do but desperately want to sit, listen to random stories and laugh around. In that too, the most content which I consume is Food related channels like Buzzfeed, Insider Food, Snack Wars or Running Man clips. But over the last year, I have developed some interest over Talk Show Channels of South Korean Celebrities.

To leverage more of their popularity a lot of Korean celebrities and hosts have started creating content in Youtube channels as well. There are lots of talk shows and vlogs that have been making noise in YouTube. Not just that this smart move they have made has again been leveraged by lots of brands who sponsor these show in place of promoting their products.

Top 5 Korean Celebrities Youtube Talk Shows

There are too many celebrities Youtube channels like that since last year, and here are some of the funniest and most entertaining Celebrity Youtube Shows which I wanna introduce to you. Perfect to watch them on days you are too stressed or on those days when you are simply confused what to watch. Note: In whichever show BTS Jin appears, its going to be funny.

1. Salon Drip hosted by Jang Doyeon

Salon Drip is my current favorite! Hosted by the charismatic, witty and humorous Jang Doyeon, not a single episode goes without putting into constant state of lol! “Salon Drip” is the perfect mix of razor-sharp humor and celebrity gossip you didn’t know you needed. Jang’s uncanny ability to get even the most tight-lipped stars to spill the tea is what makes this show binge-worthy. I really love how she creates a space comfortable for each and every celebrity who drop by her studio. And the editors makes sure to roast the host and celebs without disparity.

There are few of my favorite funniest episodes where the following guests appeared: 1. Son Sukku (Ep 31), 2. Lee Dong Wook (Ep 10), 3. Lee Jong Won (Ep 35), 4. Lovely Runner Leads (Bonus Ep), 5. Light Shop Cast Kim Tae Goo is there lol (Ep 67).

Yeah, that’s a must-watch show right there.

2. Nothing Much Prepared, hosted by Youngji

This one’s for the chaos lovers! Lee Youngji’s “Nothing Much Prepared” is like having your favorite Gen Z K-pop idol blabbering and entertaining the world over a drink—unfiltered, unpredictable, and wildly entertaining. Youngji as a host is always full of surprises. She is the type of talkshow host that the world can’t handle. Not your traditional type of host. She is the representation of what happens when a Gen Z host a show (in a positive way).

Most of the guests are Kpop idols, and rarely actors. Guests in this show don’t just chat, they end up sharing secrets, giggle uncontrollably, show a unique side and sometimes get adorably tipsy. From BTS’ Jin’s quirky humor to Shinee Key going through power war with Young Ji to Kyung Soo and Kentaro making our heart race, this show is a pure gold.

Must watch episodes: 1. Kentaro (Ep 32), 2. Shinee Key (Ep 29), 3. Monsta X Hyung Won (Ep 7), 4. Christopher (Ep 11), 5. EXO Doh Kyungsoo (Season 3 Ep 29)

It’s such a fun filled show to break from reality for few minutes.

3. Jae Friends Hosted By Jae Joong

Jae Joong is a part of 2nd Gen idol group TVXQ. He has a very young appearance, and his show Jae Friends is one of the most laid back entertainment chat show. It’s more of a chill vibe where he cooks food for his celebrity guests as a means to befriend them. Its not as funny as the previously mentioned shows but, it’s a chill show with the awkward Mr Jae hosting. It’s just a show where he engages the guest with meaningful convos, personal stories and a light hearted banter.

Must Watch Episodes in Jae Friends: 1. Girls Generation Sooyoung (Ep 6), 2. Mamamoo Moonbyul (Ep 3), 3. Shin Sung Rok & Kim Jae Wook (Ep 33)

Perfect for a rainy season watch or a train ride!

4. Zzanbro is hosted by Shin Dong Yup

Ever wondered what happens when you mix legendary comedian and host Shin Dong-yup with a few drinks? You get “Zzanbro” — a show where candidness and comedy reign supreme.

This show may feel like a bit old school on the first glance. Of course there will be some conversations that sound a bit laid back, but this show is also the space a lot of celebrities feel at ease, show their candid style and have the most funny conversations, making it extremely fun to watch. It’s like hanging out with your hilarious older cousin who always has the best stories.

I really enjoy the food platter which the guest enjoys… every single time. Just sitting and staring at the food which only god knows when you are gonna eat.

Must watch episodes in Zzanbro: 1. Kim Sejeong & Lee Jongwon (Ep 66), 2. Ji Chang Wook (Ep 54), 3. Ji Eun & Choi Jin Hyuk ( Ep 45)

5. IU’s Palette

Hosted by Queen of Kpop – IU, Palette is a soothing balm for your soul. If your favorite guest appears on Palette it’s pretty sure, you can get to see them do a duet or solo singing session at the show. A show where both guests and IU chat about life, music and everything in between. I still remember how when IU started the show for the first time being extremely awkward and shy. IU’s warmth and sincerity will definitely put a smile on your face.

Must Watch Episodes: 1. Suga (Ep 19), 2. Dream Movie Cast (Ep 20), 3. Cho Jungseok (Ep 26)

That’s it!

I always feel like these talk shows as a gate to see our favorite celebrities beyond their characters we see in the series. Some days it feels nice to laugh with them, some days it feels nice to listen to their stories and some days you feel like celebrities are much more chaotic than you (Plus, who doesn’t love some good ol’ K-celebrity chaos?), and some days it feels nice to see them let their hair down and relax. And in all these shows, we need to give a huge kudos to the editor for making it funnier!

So what are you waiting for? Go grab your favorite snacks, and let these shows take over your watch history. Warning: Side effects may include uncontrollable laughter, sudden cravings for Korean foods, and a newfound obsession with Korean talk shows.
