What will your life be like in three years?
Why a Peregrine Falcon?
Peregrine Falcon is one of my favorite birds. Its not the pretty looking one among the sky rulers. But, it is a bird that carries the aura of the trait I want to achieve as a human. Its the most fascinating bird, alot of you mustn’t have known that, it is the fastest bird in the world. It is full of strength, grace, confidence, independence and razor-sharp focus. For the next three years, like the falcon, I am setting my sights high, and even the height I ‘ll be defining it. These three years is going to be me setting the environment for me to soar to new heights in my personal and professional life. Yes, in my life. Thats the gift I am going to give myself for my 30th birthday.
1. Embracing Confidence and Comfort in Your Own Skin
Falcon Trait: The Peregrine Falcon is unapologetically itself, a creature that commands the skies with poise.
In three years, I’ll no longer feel like an insecure woman who is still caught up back in time, but more like the woman I aspire to be. This means stepping fully into my identity and embracing all that I am. I’ll still be the person who brings joy to my parents, but with a grounded sense of self that feels authentic and steady. There’s something powerful about knowing who you are, and that’s exactly what I plan to embody. Reaching the peak of a woman who trusts her instincts and let go of self doubt that has been dragging me down.
2. Unlearning What Holds You Back
Falcon Trait: The falcon is adaptable and sheds what doesn’t serve it, whether it’s old feathers or unhelpful habits.
Like a falcon shedding its feathers, I’m ready to let go of everything that doesn’t serve me, especially when it comes to my life as a whole. There’s a freedom in unlearning the beliefs and habits that make life unnecessarily complicated. Over the next few years, I’ll unlearn the need for constant validation, the heavy expectations placed on me by me, and the tendencies that that brings more pain than happiness to me and people I want to protect. I’m all set to creating healthy boundaries both as a way to protect my energy and as a commitment to myself. That’s my road to be charisma right there.
3. Becoming a Smart Worker
Falcon Trait: Known for its precise, efficient hunting skills, the falcon conserves energy by working smart, not hard.
Just as the falcon is precise and efficient in its movements, I’m focusing on becoming a smart worker rather than just a hard worker. I am done with being that person. I want my work to reflect my passions and capabilities, not just my hours. By the time I’m 30, I’ll be learning how to achieve more with less struggle, valuing quality over quantity. My goals in my personal and professional life will align with my values, and I’ll pursue them with a full of satisfaction and energy that feels both efficient and fulfilling. No more compromise or gambles with my health.
4. Creating a Life Full of Meaning
Falcon Trait: The Peregrine Falcon’s flight is swift and purposeful, embodying freedom and creativity.
I want to create. Whether its through art, writing or projects that resonates with my heart. In three years, I see myself as a creator, pouring my heart and energy into projects and work that I love. I’ll continue to detach from others’ expectations and create for the sake of expression, not validation. Whether it’s art, writing, or projects that light up my spirit, I want to live a life that feels meaningful, full of beauty and purpose, much like the falcon’s graceful flight through open skies.
5. Re-Evaluating Relationships and Setting Boundaries
Falcon Trait: Falcons are fiercely independent but loyal to their mates and closest friends. They protect their nests with fierce determination.
Life has been teaching me alot, over this course I have learnt few things, and this three years is going to be an act of implementation to protect myself. I have decided to re-evaluate myself. I am sick and tired by the fact I have filled half of my circle with people who dip their hands into fire so that they don’t want to cheer for me when things go well.
So, I have choose to nurture relationships and friendships that truely deserves. I used to be that person who loves people as equal as I love myself. Now, everyone goes behind me. I will be shifting my priorities throughout these years: detatching from forced connections, setting strong boundaries, and becoming less accessible. The doors will be open only for the best this entire universe can offer for me. The best of all who deserves me.
I’ll still be the person who makes others feel seen and loved, but with a healthier approach to relationships.
6. Attracting Beauty, Goodness, Adventure and Peace
Falcon Trait: The Peregrine Falcon’s life is defined by random adventure, clarity, beauty, and purpose—it attracts what it seeks.
By focusing on what brings me peace, I believe I’ll naturally start to attract beauty, goodness, random adventures and calmness into my life. I want my life to be surrounded by positivity, where I wake up each day feeling grateful for the people, places, and experiences that surround me. There’s an intention behind everything I choose, and by clearing out what no longer serves me, I’ll create space for everything that does.
7. Professional Success
Falcon Trait: Peregrine Falcons are strategic hunters, using their skills to achieve success.
Like the Peregrine Falcon, known for its precision and sharp focus, I see myself honing my skills and advancing in my marketing career. Driven by my passion, more than wanting to be known for the work I do, not just as a job but as a reflection of what fuels me. My journey as a marketer will be purposeful, aligning with my values and pushing me to new heights. Even if I am not destined to be a marketer, I am pretty sure I’ll take me only to the best place, only through the best of trails.
8. Adventures and Unquenchable Curiosity
Falcon Trait: Known for its long migrations, the falcon is a traveler, embracing the journey as much as the destination.
By the time I’m 30, I’ll have my passport stamped with places that redefine my stories and experiences. I’m setting the goal to take at least four international trips by then, each broadening my view of the world, uplifting my blog and enriching my soul. I want my life and blog to be filled with stories of exploration, connecting with people from all walks of life, and a deep-rooted curiosity for everything unknown. There is no compromise there, I would step into the soil of my Tamil Nadu, where my foot steps and shoe imprints are yet to be made.
9. Becoming a Strong Role Model
Falcon Trait: Falcons are symbols of guardianship and mentorship, often seen as protectors.
There’s something beautiful about the falcon’s role as a guardian and protector, and in three years, I see myself as a source of love, strength, and inspiration for my family. I hope to be a role model, especially to my brother’s child. I am going to teach and every other women out there to live a life that’s bold, resilient, and filled with kindness. I want to pass down the traits I’m building in myself: confidence, warmth, and a sense of purpose.
A Life of Purpose and Grace
Three years from now, I see myself as a woman who’s truly comfortable with who she is, living a life full of purpose, freedom, and beauty. Like a Peregrine Falcon in flight, I’ll have learned to soar above what weighs me down, directing my energy toward what truly matters. I’ll be guided by my values, my passions, and a fierce commitment to growth. In the next three years, I’m not just preparing for a future—I’m creating a life that feels like freedom, strength, and joy.
I know, the entire blog even for me feels like I am writing an astrological map for my future self. To be honest, I am struggling to breathe for the past one week. I am scared. But, sitting and writing for this blog prompt shared by wordpress, gave me opportunity to pitch to my body, mind and soul to help me achieve this. I wrote this for me, to help me take to the future without giving up on me. Its an apology letter to myself.
Lets revisit this in 3 years from now! Hopefully!
