We were the type of family who never cuts cake for birthdays. It has always been just Payasams (one of the Traditional dessert of Tamil Nadu), temple visit and new outfit. I know that alot of us might think it as a place too expensive considering the fact that its part of a star hotel chain. But, they are way better in terms of quality and price compared to many newly sprouted overrated cafes. From their innovative monthly themes to their underrated desserts and pastries, EST Café has carved a sweet spot in my heart. But I ain’t sure about the savouries and starters. I had a bad experience with those.

Personally, I have always give instruction on why I am ordering the cake and every time I have seen them going extra mile of work on the cake – it can be flavour update or decoration. This level of care is rare, and it’s what keeps us loyal.

Here’s the cherry on top: EST Café surprises its patrons every month with a new dessert theme. Whenever I feel low, I go to grab a dessert at EST Hilton, cause I was pretty sure, there will be a surprising piece of art placed in the dessert counter. Be it seasonal fruits like mango or quirky ingredients like matcha, their creative chefs present a feast that is as beautiful to look at as it is delicious. It’s a paradise for dessert lovers!

3. A Slight Bitter Aftertaste

As much as I adore EST Café, one thing dampens the dine-in experience: the insistence on feedback. After a delightful meal, being forced to scan a QR code and rate the staff feels intrusive. While I understand the need for feedback, a gentler approach would go a long way in keeping the experience seamless. It happened twice. But last time when I went they didn’t ask for feedback.

EST Café at Hilton is more than just a place to buy cakes for me. It’s an experience. While their dine-in feedback approach could use some refinement, it doesn’t overshadow the exceptional quality and creativity they bring to the table every month.
