When we pack our life into 2 days a week,
we’re not just folding clothes into a bag.
We’re creating memories – with the people we love,
and for the people we love.
A little bit of pampering
with food, laughter, and love.
A little bit of fun
playing around like kids with badminton rackets in hand.
A little bit of rest and relaxation
just lying down, letting the world slow.
A little bit of staring at the sky,
singing your favorite song,
watching your favorite shows.
Skimming through a comfort book
as the sun tans your skin further.
And later, staring at the stars,
wishing for a life with ease.
And then you realize…
Our greed
the greed of humanity
has ultimately bestowed upon us
a life of chase.
As nomads, we were hunted in life.
So much so,
we became used to the attribute of being hunted over centuries.
Now, we humans have created a system
that hunts us.
After all, man cannot sit for long.
He wants to be chased.
He wants to be hunted.
And alas,
you and I bear the curse of it.
Living with two days at hand
or should I say,
two apples of your own.
But they’re not truly your own.
Sometimes, people try to claim a bite.
Or worse,
they try to teach you how to eat your own apple.
